We are offering eligible individuals the chance to undertake 两个 SCQF Level 9 modules with a  网络安全 focus 在一个  12 week period online and you can complete them with 对你的通用信用没有影响. 顺利通过本课程 担保 you an interview upon completion, arranged by ScotlandIS.

This course consists of 两个 undergraduate 20 credit modules, 网络安全 and 网络与信息安全, and prepares you for employment by developing your knowledge and skills in these 两个 areas:

网络安全

This module prepares candidates for effectively researching and evaluating current threats, analysing and mitigating cyber security risks, and providing a comprehensive report describing how threats can be mitigated. Candidates will gain a theoretical and practical understanding of modern 网络安全 issues, as well as the ethical and legal considerations involved in them, and be able to suggest sensible strategies to mitigate those risks.

网络与信息安全

This module prepares candidates for critically evaluating and analysing the ne两个rk and information security weaknesses of an organisation; producing ne两个rk diagram designs and an appropriate addressing scheme,and providing a comprehensive 网络与信息安全 Policy for an organisation.

Candidates will gain an understanding of typical 网络与信息安全 weaknesses and have an appropriate knowledge of current Information Security Standards to create a Ne两个rk & 资讯保安政策. Candidates will achieve an appreciation and awareness of the appropriate application of modern Ne两个rk Security Devices.


这门课适合我吗?

This course is designed for people looking to develop their skills in 网络安全, with either:

  • a qualification at Level 8 or above (HND, DipHE, or degree) in a STEM discipline
  • or a HNC in a STEM discipline with relevant work experience (requires academic decision panel)
  • or demonstrable relevant experience that passes a panel assessment

我将如何学习??

All elements of the course will be completed online, so it is essential that you have regular access to a laptop or desktop computer as well as reliable broadband with streaming capacity.

Delivery will be flexible to enable you to study whenever and wherever is convenient but the expected length of the course is 10 teaching weeks (12 weeks in total) of virtual lectures, 活动, 独立研究和评估, with a maximum of 两个 attempts to successfully complete each module.


I’ve never studied online before, will there be help?

你不会孤单的, with module leaders on hand to offer academic support as well as pre recorded lectures and plenty of online materials, as well as a ScotlandIS representative to help support you through your studies.
